Well written, acted and produced. Loved it again!!

I first saw this series in the early 1990s when it was first broadcast, and have been longing to see it again! It was every bit as intriguing and engaging as before, but of course, a bit dated. How could it not be? It was so much 'of the moment' when first broadcast. But in another sense, it was very interesting watching this again a year and a half after Brexit. It was like being with old friends again; lots of them, every bit as endearing and funny as before. And a young Christoph Waltz is very easy on the eyes! ;) I loved the ambience, style and backdrop of the series as much as I did originally. :) The only reason I wouldn't give this product 5 whole stars is concerned with some production values: It would have been nice to have it in a wider screen format, but it was in the 4:3 aspect ration of the time. (Can't really fault that.) But I also found the picture somewhat grainy; The Gravy Train Goes East episodes were sharper. (If I could I'd rate it 4.5.) So I am thrilled to have have this series in my collection! It is really hard to find, and I am so thankful to have got it at such a reasonable price.
