Alesis Q88 Keyboard Controller

For composing and songwriting, the combination of the included software (download links) and the better than expected feel of the controller keyboard is a winner from Alesis. It is important to note the Q-88 is a controller; you will need a computer, a USB port, and a decent sound card to hear anything. Set up is easy, the downloads were quick, but give your self some time to ease into the software. If you have worked with a DAW (digital audio workstation), you should have no trouble. The piano sounds in particular are very good. This purchase is to augment the current rig used for film scoring. Blended in fantastically with many more possibilities to explore. Well done, Alesis!
