Good flavour and colour
This is excellent turmeric at a very good price. I use it when making Cambodian dishes and find the flavour and colour to be just as I like it.

A wonderful translation of an important historic document on Khmer society.
If you are studying Cambodian history or want a greater knowledge of early Khmer society this is a must have book.
The translator, Peter Harris, goes to great lengths to explain his method of translating thirteenth century Chinese text into modern English; crucially giving detailed reasons of why a particular character translation was arrived at when alternatives were possible.
I found it useful to read with two book-markers; one in the passage being read and another in the relevant notes section. This might sound cumbersome but in fact I found this made reading very enjoyable as one can hop around the book a bit.
I ought to also say that it is not heavy reading, but translated in a pleasurable light style.
