12AX7 to 6N2P tube conversion
It works perfectly and replaces an expensive tube with a good and cheap one. Old NOS Russian 6N2P sound great, last a life and cost 3$, much better of current production 12ax7s

Very good GU50 socket
Typical CCCP miltary stuff, almost indestructible. Helps inserting the tube with the correct orientation.

No more is needed
The "base" headshell from AT leaves nothing to be desired. Nice design, light weight, its size fits perfectly with almost all moving magnet 1/2" cartridges. I'm using 3 of them for Hi-Fi with some expensive carts (AT760, Goldring 2300 and Ortofon 2M) on an AT1240; ok it's DJ stuff but it's so well made that it plays Chopin so perfectly that I wouldn't spend a dollar more for "audiophile" gear.
