Hefty, but the performance makes up for it
Coming from a 13" MacBook Air to the 16" Legion 5 Pro was a significant shift. Obviously, the Legion 5 is significantly larger and heavier, but I don't view that as a bad thing. I know what I was looking for, and I feel like I found it with this laptop. It does make it a little less convenient, a bit less portable, but for the quality and the results, I am not complaining a bit.
The QHD display is fantastic! The first one I ordered had some stuck pixels, but I sent it back to the seller, and purchased another one (at Lenovo Support's urging). This was has been excellent. The display is vivid, and the detail is magnificent. The 3070 really is a beast, and is more than I need for any of work I do or the games I play.
The biggest Con for me is the power situation. I understand that a gaming laptop as beefy as this machine is requires a lot of power. The 300W power supply it comes with is a monster. It is big (roughly the size of a small paperback), which makes travel with it a bit more difficult, and if you don't mess with the MUX switch, it will burn through battery while unplugged quickly. So far, when I have the integrated graphics option on, my battery life is around 4 hours. With the dedicated graphics, it looks to be about 2 hours. If I play a game and the cord accidently comes unplugged from the power supply... good luck getting 20 minutes.
All in all, it is a significant change from what I was used to, but I think it is going to be able to do everything I want it to do.
