Iconic Sound - Best if Purchased Used
I have wanted one of these drums for 30 years, and the retail price tag is high. I have played three of these and loved them all. If you can find a deal on one for 1/2 the retail cost you should buy it. Yes, it's still expensive, but there's no other drum that can produce the sound of the Tama Bell Brass Snare.

Best Foot Speed Yet
I've played DW 9000, Pearl Demon Drive, and other double pedals, but could never get them dialed-in, despite the hundreds of setting variations. Which really stinks when you've spent $500 - $800 on a high-quality pedal. On a hunch, I bought the Gibraltar G-Class Pedals with the intent to return them if they didn;t satisfy me. The lower price point made me assume perhaps the quality or "feel" would not be to my liking. Well, I was wrong. The G-Class pedals are exceptional, and just happen to be a great value as well. Out of the box the pedals felt good. With some minor adjustments to the tension and beater throw position, these pedals are the smoothest, fastest pedals I've ever used. If there's a can, it's that the magnetic logo on the top of the beaters (holds the magnet weights) popped off pretty easily. I used SuperGlue to reattach them and they are fine now. Don't let the price fool you - these are exceptional pedals that seem to have just the right camber to deliver fast, powerful kick drum speed, smoother than any other pedal I've played.
