Best PC case still out there with a decent number of external 3.5 and 5.25 drive bays. Plus, Rosewill components last.
2 of 2 found this helpful Every day, I use several Rosewill components that I bought many years ago (along with ones I bought more recently), and they're all still working perfectly! Thanks, Rosewill, for consistently producing high-quality PC components.
At least for me, the Challenger is the best still-available PC case out there for people who still need a decent number of external 3.5in. and 5.25in. drive bays. Internal HD space is also amongst the highest for cases in this sadly now difficult-to-find class.
My only significant complaints are as follows, and are why I had to rate the case 4 rather than 5 stars.
1. The drive rails are by far the worst I've ever used (and I've used a wide range over the decades). They constantly fall off and irritatingly drop the so-called retaining pins into difficult-to-reach nooks. After going past my irritation breaking point, I finally resorted to TAPING the darn things on, being careful to tape over the retaining pins.
2. The always-on bright blue LEDs on the front fan make it unusable to me. It'd be nice to be able to switch them off, since the fan is decently quiet, uses a 3-wire interface, and being clear, is both nice-looking and utile. But thanks to the non-disableable light show, I was forced to replace it.
