Replacement part works well
An annoying problem with this switch. It worked, then it didn't. I took it apart but couldn't find anything wrong, as it's a passive circuit board. I ordered the replacement part and it worked immediately.
I took the old one apart again and discovered the problem.
I took it apart and noticed these were all passive components, just switch contacts, resistors for the LEDs and the LEDs, all leading to the set of connector pins. I traced the switch circuits first and discovered no continuity through the 'feed-thrus' or 'vids' the small holes that routed the circuitry from one side of the board to the other. My solution was to scrape away some of the coatings at the feed-thrus and solder a small wire thru the hole. The hole should be plated-thru but this was obviously the weak point with these very small holes. I did this for both switches. The LED circuits were fine. I found the '+' and '-" points on the connector, connected that to my bench power supply and confirmed the LEDs worked. I cleaned it all up, re-assembled it and it works perfectly again. It will be my spare
