Excellent product and fit for M&P10
Used this to remove a barrel nut and install a free float handguard on a Smith & Wesson M&P10. The vise block felt like it had nice, even, tight contact with both the top and bottom of the receiver along the entire surface. The receiver wasn't damaged or scratched at all during the entire process.
Not really sure what the clear plastic pieces do. When I put them on there was enough play that by the time I got over to my bench vise I had to realign everything before tightening down. I ended up not using them and it really wasn't a hassle at all to just put the top and bottom pieces on and carry the entire thing, receiver sandwiched in between, over to my vise and hold it until I got it tightened down. Regardless, my fears about fit and damage to the gun were proved wrong and I will definitely be using this vise block in the future.
