Don't buy if you want a colored handle.
I got this item OK and have put it on a knife. I would like you to know that even though I rated this as satisfactory, I was a little disappointed that the red dye did not penetrate even a little bit into the horn. As a matter of fact it washed off with water. I know that you say the dye does not go through and through, but it should at least survive a washing with water. Other vendors I have purchased similar items from sell a truly "dyed" horn that does have some of the color penetrate into the horn and will show after finishing the handle. This horn finishes to a completely natural color (which I did not want). Needless to say I don't think I'll be buying this item from you in the future unless you can assure me that the color penetrates. Don't get me wrong; the horn itself is beautiful; it's the red dye job that is the problem. Scott Rivers

Perfect weight for me!
