Perfect for making your own saw horses!
I would recommend the legs be 32", you get the most our of an 8' 2X4. Make the top piece 40" with a 2X6 screwed to the top of that! Overall height will be just right!

Could be better...
This would deter the casual thief, but the design would have benefited by adding a hole for a traditional hitch pin as a backup . The lock mechanism depends on a very small lever that locks from the inside of the square tubing. I would not want to trust it to keep $50,0000 worth of trailer connected to the truck. I just drilled a 3/16" hole, bought a $1 hitch pin and feel confident now.
