Seems well made - but not brilliant.

Looks good. Works well. Nice solid feel to it. However, the handle is just a bit too short (I live in Qld and I use it on the shower floor, too, so there's no water hanging around during the humid season) - and there isn't any facility for replacing the blade. Rich

This is my favourite Japanese knife. Love it!

Brilliant quality and the sharpest blade I have ever encountered, straight out of the box. Makes some of my other Japanese knives a bit 'ordinary'. The edge is easy to bring back to peak sharpness, too (using a King stone).
