True Value
1 of 1 found this helpful The true price of gold is not the spot price on the merc exchange, it is the buy-it-now price on e-bay.
Older coins are, in my opinion, the best way to hold bullion.

Most definitive reference on Scottish Pewter ever compiled.
In the pewter collecting world there is Cotterell's Old Pewter, and everything else. As for Scottish pewter there was only Inglby Wood's book on Scottish Pewter, which is extremely rare and nowhere near as comprehensive as Peter Spencer Davies wonderful new work. A work of this quality appears about once a century and I expect never to see it's likes again.
Most country specific pewter books are rather small volumes, but this large volume is just over 300 pages, packed with photos and illustrations, and loads of readable and informative text. I, a collector of Scottish Pewter, have long awaited such a book to add to my extensive pewter library. The compilation of touch-marks is as detailed as Cotterell's and are updated to include all current scholarship and knowledge to date.
I recommend this book to every serious Scottish Pewter collector as well as those interested in Scottish industry and development from the 1600's to the 19th century.

Loud sound, small size, user programmable. Great Game Caller.
1 of 1 found this helpful I needed a bird caller which could play specific bird sounds at the press of a button on a remote control at a loudness sufficient for outdoor use. This product perfectly met my needs. It's sound volume is surprisingly loud for such a small unit, audible for hundreds of yards in the field. I found the use of an additional powered speaker through the jack provided on the unit, unnecessary. Bird calls are reproduced accurately and clearly.
The product does not include it's own memory or pre-programmed sounds. The user must provide a Micro-SD card (best) or USB memory stick with the MP3 format sound files required for your specific calling needs.
I used a 32 GB micro-SDHC card, total overkill for the 9 MP3 audio files, but it worked fine. The unit will play over one hundred files by keying in the track number. The remote is fully functional and works well at the distances I require.
The instructions provided don't really tell you much, but the user can, with intuition and practice get used to it's operation and be able to call up individual sound tracks easily.
The unit can also be used as a portable PA system (mic not included) but I have not tested this feature.
Most user programmable game callers are much more expensive than this product. For comparative cost this product is exceptional. For loudness, it more than met my greatest expectations. For light weight and small size, exceptional. I highly recommend this product.
I punched a hole in the field case (provided), for the volume knob, to allow better fit and function. That's the only improvement the manufacturer could make. Great little game caller.
