Great lil console

PRO's - small design with an odd looking handle for... carrying it i guess.
x4 player support, wide range of E rated games, but a few mature ones.
controller is easy to adapt into, though odd feeling at times. has the same RUMBLE effect as a Ps2-Ps3-and Xbox 360 controllers. All I'm saying is, loved it from the moment i took my little brother to gamestop and saw all the options.

CON's - 1) feels a tad bit rickety. 2) its very easy to loose MP3's you know :(
3) no cordless controllers, 4) 64mb video ram VS xbox 360's 256mb (less graphic eye-candy). but this is to be expected on an older system.

Other thoughts - if you own GBA sapphire, emerald, ruby, fired, or leafgreen. pokemon games, then buy two GBA to gamecube link cables, and pokemon XD, or Colosseum, as both will allow a much wider view of battle scenes and full 360 degree view of your GBA imported pokemon in battle. I've also heard that Kingdom Hearts has the same functionality, not sure though. most of the games and gaming equipment are compatible with the Nintendo Wii. THIS IS A GREAT FAMILY GAME CONSOLE.

GameCube's still got it!

The newest system I had before purchasing my used GameCube this year was an N64! The years following elementary school, my parents didn't buy my siblings and I new consoles, so we would play at our friend's houses and be awed by the cool graphics, new memory card system, and tiny discs the games had become.

Although I like the novelty of cartridge games, the GameCube is extremely portable, with a mini CD holder and a grab of the console's handle, you're on your way.

There is a good selection of games. For Nintendo, quality definitely stands above quantity, and the range of games for the system definitely stand above other systems of its generation in terms of uniqueness, innovation, and game play styles.

If you never bothered getting your hands on the system and can't afford a Wii, I suggest buying a used GameCube for around $20 (+shipping) on ebay. You can definitely find a good deal and great games for a bargain!

Gamecube, the underrated console

I recently purchased this gamecube because I was dying to play some of Nintendo's first party games (Legend of Zelda, Mario, Metroid...). All in all it is a very cool little console that I feel was unappreciated when it was on the market. I think the main issue was simply that very few people could justify buying it because it didn't get much support from third party developers, and that is certainly a legitimate complaint.

Now, however, used Gamecubes are so affordable it would be a huge shame to miss out on the excellent exclusive titles that this machine has to offer. Even if you just get The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, Super Mario Sunshine and the Metroid Prime games this machine is totally worth it.

Not known!!

Though this console isn't as popular as the playstation or the xbox, but it is a great game to play!! I'm just starting off playing my video games and this one is easy enough to make you want to keep playing, but not hard enough to make you want ot quit.Read full review...

For its price, it is worth every penny.

The GC has one of my favorite games of all time. I decided to get a new one since I dont like the Wii and wanted to play some of the good games again. the GC has one of the best designs, with a really good airflow, as well as having a good catalog of games. Its easy to use and while it obviosuly is lacking in comparison to the current generation of consoles, for those looking to play some really good old games, this console can easily fit the bill.Read full review...

With the inexpensive price of older video consoles its todays smart buy!

Let me tell you Community, the Gamecube is a fun, easy to use, light weight gaming console that brings back the simple days of fun!

For just $60.00 I received two controllers, console, wiring, and a handful of games and hours of fun!

Oh sure it doesnt have the panache of a ps3 but for a gaming youngster and the young at heart it packs a lot of bang for the buck!

A great starter console. Also a great project for people who like taking things apart.

I love this console. It is so compact, and even if you get a used one that doesn't work, there are so many easy ways to fix it. Mine had a disc read error. Took about an hour or two to clean out the console, test the laser, and fix the issue. Wasn't what I paid for as the seller had said it was in perfect working order, but I like fixing things ,so it was still worth it to me. Highly recommend.Read full review...

Vintage Gamer's Dream. Vintage now at least. Gameboy Player cool.

I have lots of games. It was a disappointment the controller was broken, but i was replacing my old burnt out Gamecube and have other controllers. Fan got stuck with dust then the "processor" of sorts burnt through the circuit board during a long night of Twilight Princess. Anyway. a great system considering all the awesome games you can get for cheap. I can play the entire Zelda series on it with my gameboy player and the Zelda Collection disc. The Legend of Zelda, Zelda Adventure of Link, Zelda A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Minish Cap, Majora's Mask, Windwaker, Four Swords, and Twilight Princess baby! Those CDi games like mask of gamelon don't count, they suck too bad.Read full review...

a system ahead of its time and a a blast to play

well so far the system i bought is operating perfectly, after running it for 16 hours straight it did not overheat or have any glitches in running the discs.the game controllers are working very smoothly even though being over 8 years old and used.the controllers were a little confusing but after a little experience using them they are just as easy to use as the old nintendo 64 game controllers.and? the zelda the windwaker game is a blast to play and the system and games are well worth the 40 dollars i paid .in other words so far i can't say anything negative about this deal.Read full review...
