Jensen Turntable

This Jensen turntable is just what I needed. The sound is decent and the size and light weight makes it easy to move around. I have been uncovering decades worth of records and wanted something other than my console to play them on. This unit gets points for value. There is an earphone jack and if you need to, can be hooked up to other, external speakers. There is plenty of volume though no tone control and an added bonus with radio included. The records must be played on at a time, no stacking....fine by me. I like the fact that the turntable stops when the record is finished and starts when the stylus arm is moved into position to play the record. There is an adapter for your 45 RPM's.....Nice value, fair price, decent quality, very convenient.....I'm a happy guy!Read full review...

The worst record player I have ever Bought bar none

You really don't expect much for the money but boy is this a piece of garbage . first I noticed all my 12" lps hit the arm as you put the record on the turntable . There are no tone dials just Volume and it is as stiff as could possibly be same goes for the mode select dial , Just junk chinese pots .Then the sound quality is on par with those Fisher Price child's stereos from the 1970's . I kid you not . I have no clue who are rating this thing but it sounds terrible,There's more volume from the needle action than comes out of the tiny little speakers .Radio reception is just a crackling mess .This item will be returned . Look elsewhere unless you are buying for a child under 9.Read full review...

Great price

Bought this turntable brand new for the price of the cartridge for my other turntable. Nice small unit that is completely self contained, no hooking up wires to speakers or to other stereo components. Simply plug it in and go works good for 78's, 45's and 33's, sounds good for a small unit.Read full review...

Exactly what I was looking for

I wanted to get my girlfriend a record player for her birthday since she loves classic music, and it was everything she and I could ask for. Took it out of the box, plugged it in and popped a record on. Nicely styled and great sound quality, would definitely recommend!Read full review...

Great record player, reasonable freq. response from the speakers. Would point people to it if they want quality without breaking the bank.

BRILLIANT! I've been looking for a reasonable priced, reasonable quality record player forever. Why the H*LL would you want to transfer vinyl over to mp3?! It defeats the whole purpose, at lease for those of us who remember the warmth of a pressed record. Don't take a good thing and make a crappy copy.Read full review...

Read descriptions carefully

I bought this to convert a bunch of vinyl albums to digital files, but I failed to notice that this player has no RCA outputs. I am pretty sure I can work around that (and it's my fault for not checking), but that is the only reason I rated four instead of five stars. The sound is not going to blow your mind, but it's pretty good for the money.Read full review...

nice player

Works great using internal speakers. Plays 78s better than the old stereos.

THE BAD-if you use the speaker jack and connect to a stereo you get a hum added to the music. Sounds like it isnt grounded.

By itself its portable and works great

Does the job

This was a gift to my granddaughter and her family. These "young whippersnappers" today don't know how to really listen to music if it's not on a tiny little pocket player...LOL. They are enjoying this very much. When Granny leaves this place she just might will them her hundreds of albums from the 60's, 70's and 80s. Won't they be surprised?!Read full review...

Scratched my beatles vinyl

Thats, that bullshit arm made of plastic has no weight and just scratches over the top of all my records. Ive tried attaching weights but it requires so much that it skips parts of tracks all the time. Piece of junk, when i took the packing tape off, it took half of the finish with it. All i can use it for now is to listen to NPR when im cooking.Read full review...
