Good game with poor Wii controls.

It’s a good game overall. It adds more monsters, more levels, more techniques and abilities, etc.. The only downfall is you can’t use a game pad to play it. The game is only compatible with the Wii remote and nunchuck attachment. This means you’ll have to fling your arms around to get the monsters to do certain moves.

I don’t particularly enjoy playing motion controlled games but it really doesn’t detract from the value of Godzilla: Unleashed. If you’re a fan of Godzilla games, especially Godzilla: Melee and Godzilla: Saves the Earth, you’ll enjoy this game no doubt.

Great value and a pretty decent experience. Nice game to pick up to throw down with your favorite monsters.

Godzilla

I enjoyed the game because of it's simplicity!!! it's just a smash them all!! My young nephew loves it! According to Atari, "Players will claw, kick, stomp, throw and blast their way through the streets of major world cities in order to claim the ultimate, beastly title: King of the Monsters." According to Atari, "We are building on the famous Godzilla franchise by focusing on multiple story paths, devastating urban destruction, and utilizing the most imposing creatures in film history, all in one hard-hitting fighting game," said Rick Mehler, Director, Marketing, Atari. "In Godzilla: Unleashed for the Wii, players will tap into their inner monster powers when using the system's wireless, motion-sensing controller." In all it's a lot of fun a game that you would play when you don’t want to get to deep but want to have some good old fashion funRead full review...

My Gamer and Gozilla Fan Loves It

We have recently purchased a WII. Our resident gamer had researched Godzilla: Unleashed and seen nothing but bad to mediocre reviews on it. It seem that it's only saving grace was that it had Godzilla and Biolante as characters and we are Godzilla fans at our house. But he decided he wanted to try it anyway when he found it for a great price on eBay, I couldn't say no. It's Godzilla, after all.

My gamer found the game a bit frustrating at first. He's used a lot of gaming systems since his first atari and has a great sense of how to 'just make it work.' He said that when he looked up the control features and read more about HOW to play the game, he decided that it was great deal of fun and has spent time playing it solo and with his friends. I can't tell if more than one person can play it at a time.

The characters are from the Godzilla pantheon and are very recognizable and we had a fun time remembering from which movie which character came and looking for the building with the green veins so that he could unlock the Biolante character. Sometimes the graphics aren't so fantastic, but the special effects were never great in the original movies anyway. The sounds -- Godzilla's screams are right, the hover/flying noises from the movies are there. When the monsters use their powers, you know who an what because it just sounds right.

We would recommend Godzilla: Unleashed. Just read the instructions first.

Godzilla: Unleashed (Wii, 2007)

If you are a Kaiju or Godzilla fan, THIS is the game for you!

The controls take some getting used too. And patience is a plus. One can "beat" the game after a few hours of play, but the re-play value is incredible. Dozens of characters and locations, faithful to the series, with great sound and visual effects.

Some people haven't liked this game for a few reasons, I simply disagree with them. I think this is one of the best Wii games available today.

My son loves it and so do I !

We are both godzilla fans, so when he told me he wanted a godzilla game I starting looking and found this. I wanted one that was fun but wouldn't break my pockets, since godzilla games are rather expensive now. This was perfect, no complaints from us. It's an older game so of course graphics are not the best but we honestly don't care, still fun!Read full review...

Amazing Game

Godzilla Unleashed features amazing graphics,an expansive array of playable monsters, and a great story. However, this game is lacking an autosave, and has some minor camera glitches. The cheat codes are helpful, but I don't use then too much. This game is a noticeable leap from old Godzilla Domination in 18- bit on the Gameboy, to an outstanding improvement with force unleashed graphics, larger maps, and a longer story mode, this game you'll be playing a while.Read full review...

Great...for Godzilla fans

The controls aren't superb and take a lot of getting used to, but the monster selection is great. The graphics are like the early PS2/Xbox/Gamecube graphics quality-wise. Story mode is a little obnoxious. Fortunately, there are cheat codes to override having to go through and unlock all the monsters, which is a huge pain. The game is still a recommendation for any big Godzilla fan, such as myself. Everyone else should know that it probably won't be worth it.Read full review...
