Decent lower priced alternative to the L glass

It is a bit noisy when using the image stabilization, but it works as advertised. Paired with the 6D I consider it slow to focus. I am not trying to shoot sports or other very fast activities, so there's no real heartache about it, but it's worth noting. i used to own the non IS version of the 75-300, and I like the bit of latitude in low light situations that the IS offers. Decently sharp images even at 4.0. Good value.Read full review...

Soft Image at Large Aperture

The lens is not that good. At large aperture, the image is not sharp. You get want you paid for. Also the USM focus is very noise. I wish I had stayed with STM which might be cheaper too.

Canon 70-300mm IS USM lens

It is very durable , has good auto focus response, the stabilization really helps when I am taking pictures of birds.

slight noise with the auto focus

Only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating was that the auto focus is making a noise which is being picked us during video recording.

Great Lens!

I love using this lens. It is a bit heavy. Nice to have when you need it.

Too noisy and shaky

This lens is not recommended for the beginners. You will easily get shaky pictures when you zoom it more than 135 and blurry images. The noise came out from this lens is uncomment-able. You will easily get frustrated and irritated. I would suggest beginners to look for better IS and USM lens.Read full review...

Good lens for the price

Great condition
Had a blast using it.
The only thing that might throw people off is the sound of the stabilizer but at this point im just nit picking it. Overall great lens.

Very nice lens for wildlife

I bought this to replace the 75 - 300 kit lens that came with my camera, and I do believe it gives me sharper images. Auto-focus works well, but does seem a bit noisy. I can live with that though, because the images are coming out great. Being an amateur, this is a step up on my learning ladder, and a positive one at that.Read full review...

Mounted on a Canon 6D

Very good lens to own especially on a budget, sharp enough and fast enough to get a good picture on the fly. Very good on image stabilization when hand held and even works well on a Canon 6D night portrait hand held, (4 fast pics zoomed in at 300mm).Read full review...
