The Charles River, Boston, Mass.
This cd becomes more enjoyabe with each playing of it. Sometimes it's worth just playing a few tracks at a time so as to not become overwhelmed by all that pickin. And singin. Play something else and return to the Charles River. They were a clever group of musicians, and really not that unusual for Boston, Mass, where they picked up from the Lilly Brothers and Don Stover that old time goodness.
To me they sound somewhat mechanical, as why should they not, coming directly from BU and them climes. One thing you can't doubt is that they are enjoying what they are doing. This goes a long way for everyone. Enjoy.Read full review...
