Happy Wife / Hppy Life

My wife had an eight gig memory, 1 TB hard drive Toshiba windows laptop computer which was always updating whenever she wanted to use it. Since she has had her iPhones for at least the past 8 years, I decided to up date her to a Mac. Best move ever on my part... Great value and an awesome machine!Read full review...

Portable, powerful, long life, and with a great keyboard, sometimes d fan

I've found this laptop to be so portable I use it more than my iPad now. It runs Mountain lion and all my programs smoothly, wakes instantly from sleep, and goes a long time on a charge. The keyboard is a pleasure to type on, and doesn't feel cramped at all. My only complaint is occasionally the fan kicks on to a noticeable volume, usually when I'm doing more processor intensive things like photo editing or shifting a large number of files/images around. I haven't regretted e purchase at all.Read full review...

Constantly overheating. Very very slow.

I used this laptop for basic needs, nothing too intense. I liked the design of the Mac OS. I thought it was very simple and easy to use. Never used a Mac before this but it was very easy to start using and everything felt very smooth. But this isn't really a discussion about the OS, the computer however was a nightmare. It was constantly overheating and giving me tons of issues. Its a very slow computer, I'm not trying to run games and stuff on it. To give you an idea, I was running google chrome. I had 2 youtube video webpages open. Neither 1 of the videos was buffering properly. I had to close the other down in order to watch 1 videos. Webpages loaded slowly. It still heated up even though there was very minimal stuff running. Just poor design. Yes its a small computer but the design was very poor. Doesn't seem like that has changed over the years. I wouldn't spend anything on these laptops they are very trashy, you would be better off with a chrome book, or an iPad. I love my iPad.Read full review...

MacBook Air is as good as it gets. Got a huge deal on eBay.

Bought my wife one for Christmas last year. I typically use a PC. Unfortunately not all programs are written for the Mac so I installed Boot Camp and Windows-7 Ultimate which runs very well. So I'm hooked now. I'm trading my PC laptop in for a MacBook Air and will learn the Mac side of things. The MacBook Air is fast and with an Intel CPU runs Windows native extrememly well. Apple even creates a driver disk so you can use the touchpad features on the Windows side. I upgraded to Lion then learned how to create an install disk then fresh installed Lion. The ability to port over applications (and of course data) from a backup of an earlier OS version (Snow Leopard) is outstanding. Never saw that on a PC.Read full review...

Ultra portable and lightning fast laptop for mobile users.

This thing is rad! I've got a powerful desktop at home with tons of memory and HDD space, so I don't need a very powerful laptop for the road. This one is perfect to take with me because it has enough computing power to run most applications I would need for the on-the-spot productivity (i.e. FCP, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.). Not to mention it's suuuuper small and lightweight. It seamlessly networks with any other computer on my network, so it's just like having my desktop at my fingertips when I'm in a dift room.

The only thing I worry about is battery life, both in daily use and overall longevity. But that's something that's always a concern with any laptop, so I'm not terribly concerned as long as I properly maintain and care for it.

Like BRAND New!!

I fell in love with my macbook as soon as I took it out the box! It was so fast and smooth and looked just like I just purchased it from apple. There were a few dinges but I just put a case and it was as good as new! Excellent for the price!Read full review...
