About us

I started the store in order to sell some of the cast iron I've restored in order to then purchase more cast iron or other materials. My purpose is to share my passion with others while restoring these little pieces of history. For me the restoration process is therapeutic and also rewarding.

I named the store the Cast Iron Rescue because I also work with a local animal rescue fostering Guinea Pigs. Just as we do with the animal rescue, I find abandoned, neglected or abused cast iron, rehabilitate it and then try to find it a new home.

I pride myself on trying to provide the best possible product I can. Everything I sell is cleaned and finished to the quality that I would use myself. If I wouldn’t cook with it, I’m not going to sell it. I’m also not selling products to make a lot of money, I’m simply trying to keep my hobby self-funding so I set my prices based on what I see others selling items of similar type & quality, but everything is negotiable.

    Came as described unfortunately I didn't read to well before I bought it and it's a ruff piece not sellers fault but my own I don't see myself ever using this #4 due to condition again not the sellers fault but my own the seller did everything right!
