About us

We personally collect all of the petrified wood we collect throughout the Southwest US!! Our collection has grown to over thousands of pounds and we are so excited to share the fossils we've found with the rest of the world. Southwest USA Fossils is located in Farmington, NM. All of our petrified wood is authentic and much of it come from just outside the Petrified Wood National Forest in Arizona!! Travelling the Four Corners and the Southwest, looking for petrified wood and exploring, is a passion of ours...it's just hard to imagine that after millions years a living thing can become such a beautiful piece of natural art. Most of our pieces are perfect displayed as is, but many of the rough, natural rounds are perfect for lapidary material and also we have lots that are great for rock tumbling and cabbing!! We have some nice Arizona Rainbow petrified wood listings also. Thank you so much for checking us out!!!
