About us

In colonial times, a Sutlery was a shop where goods were sold, and the merchant was called a Sutler. I carry on a family legacy and sell fine mint condition books & replica goods related to the French & Indian Wars, the American Revolutionary War, and the War of 1812. Our clientele includes historians, enthusiasts, re-enactors, scholars, & many others. I seek to present a unique niche perspective by featuring oft-overlooked events and persons of the day rather than sweeping catch-all encyclopedic histories. The pricing structure is balanced to be fair to you and also to reflect upon the economy of being an independent bookseller. My father was a historian and Sutler active in Fife & Drum for over half a century, I invite you to share his passion for all things colonial and I remain, the Son of A Sutler.
