About us

Roundhouse Electric Trains, Inc. was founded in 1983 by Mr. Tom Budniak, who continues to manage the repair business and advise on all store matters. The Cook family purchased the store from Tom in 2011 and continues to grow the business with the full time efforts of Kevin and Joshua Cook and the part time contributions of Adina Cook. Our goal remains to offer the best possible selection of model trains at affordable prices and to keep them running. We have 10+ retail rooms stocked with only model trains and accessories on the main floor, and we have 2 permanent layouts (HO & O gauges) in second floor rooms. And we design and build layouts !!! I spoke with Roundhouse Electric Trains and they decided that with a slight difference in the pictures that the only fair thing to do was to refund my order.     It came today, looked better in person, than in the pictures. I tried it, and it worked as hoped. Wrapping for shipping was robust and more than capable to allow a damage free delivery. Description was very accurate in the add also, and was priced more reasonably than some others I saw listed. Shipping price was much better than others I saw in other listings.     Great Seller. Seller shipped on March 14, and post office lost tracking on March 21, That was the last day tracked. I do not blame the seller. Working with USPS to try to find package. Will update seller when and if received. I consider seller as 5 star seller !!!!
