Madame Mo had many facets. She was a professional opera singer who stood on a spotlit dark Carnegie Hall stage and sang the opening aria of an opera, Hopitu in 1954. She was a lifelong collector of books, music, emphemera related to classical music. She had a fatal flaw born of the childhood during the Great Depression. She saved everything. She organized everything. She left it to me. She also left me the collectors gene. The Attic is my way of sharing my mother's memories with the world. https://www.nytimes.com/1955/02/17/archives/hopitu-opera-sung-albright-troupe-gives-work-based-on-indian-chants.html
