  wanted to leave a follow-up comment: i took the shoes to a shoe repair store to get the soles painted black. they showed me that the shoe's soles had already begun deteriorating. i gave positive feedback before finding out about this. the original listing said "very nice pre-owned" and did not mention any flaws whatsoever
