About us

My mother was Miss Canada many years ago, and later, sang primarily with the San Diego opera, where she was a lyric soprano. I was weaned on baubles, bangles and beads, pink chiffon, tiaras and other “fine things”! Throughout my childhood through high school, I would accompany her to operatic rehearsals, voice lessons and performances and was fortunate to be “schooled” backstage by the costumers and make-up artists who “adopted me”, and let me help them.

Little did I know at the time, that this education/experience would have a huge influence in the development of my 2nd career!!!!

In our off-time, she and I would prowl estate and garage sales, and our motto became “live well - dress well and ALWAYS live beneath our means”.

As a result, I believe and have been frequently told that I have a well-developed eye for the unusual, vintage and luxurious - which I acquire at reasonable prices. (It also doesn’t hurt that I am a negotiator “par excellence" (I used to live in Bangkok)!
