I love finding items that not only I love, but that you will love too. Great, hard to find books from a bygone-era, or today's bestsellers.
When I am searching for books to bring to my store, I think about the story of the book, not just the story inside the book. I think about where this book has been in its life and what it has seen, so to speak. The other day, I was browsing through some used books and I saw another individual, obviously a used-book seller, doing the same. The difference was that he was going through each book, rapid-fire scanning the bar code on the back to see what the book was worth. There was no time invested in actually seeing and thinking about the books.
This is not how I find books to sell. Every book that I sell has to speak to me. Every book has to have a history, touch an emotion or inspire me to want to read it (if I haven't already.)
I want to bring the same passion of book collecting and reading to you, my buyer. I want you to imagine and to dream.
