The Friends of the East Grand Rapids Library, founded in 1958, has a long, rich history, like our wonderful community. Its goal is to provide top-notch library services and a community space accessible and relevant to all. To keep pace with these changing times, our wonderful library has morphed into a space that has become so much more than just a place to check out a book. It truly is a place of community—a place to meet, a place to create, a place to explore. This metamorphosis would not have been possible without the support of our generous Friends members and volunteers and donations of wonderful books from the East Grand Rapids, Michigan community. The Friends' semi-annual book sales, daily on-going "Corner Book Shop" and our Ebay store are major fundraisers for the EGR Library. We sell books for all ages in over 35 categories as well as a wide range of DVDs and CDs.
