Freida was found in a ditch on April 10, 2013 one mile from anywhere....a certain throw away kitty. She was emaciated, matted and weighed less than 2 lbs. Her matted fur had to be removed by a vet with a scalpel, so she was bald except for her head and four little legs. Freida was so frail that she needed to wear sweaters to keep her body temperature up. She did not walk to that ditch by herself! Thank God she was found...and thus began her new life. Freida is now a 5 lb. kitty who loves to play and doesn't mind being dressed up. Freida was saved by Forgotten Felines of Maine (FFoM), a small rescue organization in Maine. Every year FFoM rescues cats like Freida. Freida travels to cat shows and pet expos on the east coast to raise awareness for abused and neglected cats in our throw away society.
