  Love this piece. There was a coating on the rock. The seller informed me it was paint. I assume they do this to all the specimens. I didn't see it in the description, I wish I would have known in advance, but I love this tourmaline. To be 100% honest, if I had known there was going to be paint put on it, I probably wouldn't have bought, or would have asked them to bot paint it, but, I also do not want to return it
