About us

As a former history teacher, I have great respect and knowledge of historical events that have impacted the growth of the United States and countries around the world. For the past several years, I have been canvassing estate sales throughout the Connecticut, upstate New York, and western Massachusetts regions in search of rare and collectible vintage books. In my travels, I have found a number of historical letters and books that would get any historian or collector excited, including signatures of Andrew Carnegie, Walt Whitman, Mark Twain and Robert Kennedy. I also work with an auction house who relies on my research to purchase and price their items appropriately. The items in my store vary in value and are priced according to their condition, age, and the rarity of the edition.     Item was shipped immediately and received on time. Packaging was not as protective as it should have been for a collectible book. Communication was good. Item was a book that has much more significant foxing than it appeared to have in the pictures. Foxing was not mentioned in the description. Seller said they marked the book in the eBay system as “acceptable,” but that information did not show up in the visible listing. Seller refunded 20% to make up for excessive foxing. Seller was reasonable.
