About us

I have been involved in fiber arts since 1981. I am interested in machine knitting. This interest has led me to various other explorations in the textile field. I have learned to spin, I dye with natural dyes and also synthetic ones. I have a few weaving looms.

These interests have led me to investigate the "slow fashion" movement. There are so many different aspects to this movement!

One of them is to re-use and re-purpose garments who are no longer needed by the original purchaser, but still have utility and a second life before going to the landfill. Thus my collection of men's Harley-Davidson and other motorcycle-themed T-shirts.

Another aspect is to purchase locally-grown wool and create textiles using the resulting yarns. And to dye fibers using natural dyes made from plants foraged from my neighborhood.

I am also trying to reduce my own impact on the plant by reducing my consumption of newly-manufactured garments.
