aGatherin' was formed in 1973 to specialize in ephemera, within both the philatelic and rare book collecting fields. The Ephemera Society of America gave Diane DeBlois and Robert Dalton Harris their highest award, the Maurice Rickards Medal, in 2008; the American Philatelic Society presented the Luff Award for Excellence in Philatelic Research to them in 2016, and they are both in the Writers Hall of Fame and the Dealers Hall of Fame. Together they are actively involved in appraising, buying, selling, researching, interpreting, and writing about original source materials in history.
