The Jordan Retro 11 Space Jam Is a Slam Dunk
With three different models, the Jordan Retro 11 Space Jam is one of Nike's most popular releases.

Even if you're not a huge basketball fan, chances are good you've heard of Space Jam. Featuring iconic characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck alongside Michael Jordan, this 1996 animated comedy was a worldwide hit. It also featured a brand-new Air Jordan colorway.
The Original Space Jam Jordan
The first Jordan 11 to earn the Space Jam name was a pair custom-made for Michael Jordan himself. These shoes have black Nubuck uppers and a black patent leather mudguard, with a white midsole and gum-colored outsole. These original Jordan 11s were never released but were a fan favorite due to their prominent location in several important shots.
Jordan Retro 11 Space Jams
Nike has released three separate versions of the Retro Jordan 11 Space Jam to date, in 2000, 2009, and 2016, all of which have made appearances on marketplaces like eBay.
2000 Retro Jordan 11 Space Jam
The first Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam was released in 2000. With a slightly updated profile, these Jordan 11 Retro sneakers feature the same black-on-black colorway, with the same white midsole and gum outsole. One difference is the Varsity Royal Blue Jumpman logo on the outer heel.
2009 Retro 11 Space Jam
By 2009, sneaker culture was well into the mainstream. The release that year of a second Retro 11 Space Jam model allowed Nike to tap into fans' enduring enjoyment while also targeting new consumers. This model is almost identical to the 2000 edition, with only a few slight tweaks to the sneaker's profile.
2016 Jordan 11 Retro Space Jam
The most recent version of the Retro 11 Space Jam Jordans was released in 2016. In addition to a Dark Concord Jumpman, this Jordan was the first to feature the number 45 on the heel, representing Jordan's comeback jersey number, instead of 23.
