Sell Your Baseball Cards
How do I sell baseball cards on eBay?
Everyday there are thousands of buyers who are looking to buy baseball cards on eBay. Most of them purchase baseball cards in auctions, so you’ll want to decide whether you want to sell your baseball cards in an auction or for a fixed price. You can research how to price your baseball cards using this tool.
Once you know how much you can sell your baseball cards for, and have decided on a selling format (auction or fixed price), you’re ready to create your listing.
First, write a great title for your baseball cards or memorabilia. For example, if you’re selling baseball cards, the title should include: card manufacturer, the player’s team or city, full name and card year.
Second, include great pictures of your baseball cards. You can either take pictures with your phone or ideally you could scan your card with a digital scanner.
Finally, write as detailed description as possible.
Is it better to sell single baseball cards or to sell baseball card lots?
Selling a group of cards in a lot might be easier than selling single cards but you have to make sure that all of the cards will be appealing to one buyer (e.g.: a lot of cards from one player or from the same team). Nevertheless, most eBay sellers sell single baseball cards in auctions to maximize their value.
How do I sell autographed baseball memorabilia on eBay?
Buyers will pay more for autographed baseballs and memorabilia that have been authenticated. So, if you have an official authentication make sure that you include it in product title and also product description. If you do not have authentication, try to add as many pictures as possible, which might help a buyer understand the real value of your memorabilia: e.g.: picture of a player together with the memorabilia signed. Alternatively, you can consider obtaining authentication from companies like PSA/DNA or JSA. Also, offering free returns gives your listing more credibility.
Finally, the value of autographed memorabilia is also determined by the item condition and the name of the player so make sure you include this in your listing too.
