Emachines get bad rap
Everybody don't know that Emachine was once owned and built by IBM. They sold out to Gateway. Now Emachines are built by Gateway. Emachines are off brand products the big guys use to test market some of their ideas on. If the product fails the off brand gets the rap, The flagship product is safe. In this case LCD Monitor here was built by IBM using parts supplied by the lowest bidder. Some of them last forever while others failed. The reason was the CAPs used on the power board. This problem is not just on the LCD tho. Other Companys experienced problems to with bad caps. I gave this product a 4 out of 5 because while it's a very good monitor the parts used where very cheap
Why I like and how I make a 19" wide screen work fo me.
The soft,warm colors of the eMachines monitors. are very beneficial for older people and in particular those with brown and green eyes.The bronze silver frame is also less contrasting than a large black or white frame, which i on of the reasons we now have for emachines monitors. I go to desktop,properties,settings,advanced,general, and select the 120 dpi,large letter format to give all my, short cuts,a large enough type face for me to see them. It also gives me larg letters on most pop up dialogue boxes. We believe eMachines is the best made monitor I say this because recently,I dropped a 15 inch one from about a meter high and it is still working. The wider format is helpful when one reads spreadsheets, stock market reports and newspaper pages, or has to make large banners.
eMachines 19 inch Monitor sharp display.
I love my eMachines monitor because it has a crystal clear display. I have no complaints and would recommend eMachines monitors to anyone looking for a reasonably priced monitor. This is my second eMachines monitor and I will be looking to buy a third for one of my extra computers. These are very dependable monitors and would be a great addition to any computer.
I am most unhappy with my purchase.
I was very disappointed as this was my first ebay experience. I was told that a stand was included for my monitor and when I asked as it was not in the package with the montor that it would follow shortly, it did not. I was then told if I wanted I could pay for sipping and handling to get ne, why should I when it was included, when I disputed with ebay they closed the case saying a resolution had been found how is that when I still don't have a stand. No I am not happy wit ebay and may never go through them again. I still have no idea if it en works as I am unable to find a monitor power cord.

I previously owned this same monitor & mine had died. I bought a new one & had to return it because I had brain surgery which caused me to be photo sensitive. My grandson suggested Ebay, where the exact model was being sold, wow, was I ever pleased! I am very pleased with my purchase.I saved over $75.00 & my eyes don't hurt.
