Our Boy Scouts bought 4 orders totaling 78 sleeping bags. Only 2 had tiny holes that were easily sewed up. One had a professionally applied patch to a small tear. All bags were very serviceable and the kids were thrilled. Kids just returned from a winter camping trip where temperature was 14 degrees overnight and kids were comfortable. Kids got a premium quality item for a very budget price. Seller combines shipping, so buying multiple bags got total cost down to right at $25 per bag delivered. Seller lists these as used but in "good" condition. I would judge this a very conservative description: several of the items looked almost brand new. The sleeping bag is a quality item. It is accurately described in listing. Shipping was prompt. Also, for care, these bags do not have to be dry cleaned, but can go in the washing machine when needed.

WHEN I SEE SOMETHINGS ADVERTISED HOW GREAT THE ARE AND ...THEY TAKE A PICTURE OF THE ITEM. YOU SEE THIS THING THAT IS BRAND NEW. AND THEY SUCKER YOU IN AND YOU BUY IT. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THIS SLEEPING BAG. IT HAD NO RIPS OR TEARS , IT WAS USED, IT HAD SOMEONES NAME ON IT, AND THAT IS WHAT I GOT. I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WILL BE WARM AT -10 DEGREES OUT AND I DON'T THINK I CARE. THE ONLY THING IS THAT I WISH IT WAS JUST 6 INCHES LONGER, SINCE I AM 6 FEET TALL AND I SOMETIMES SLEEP WITH MY TOES POINTING DOWN IT WOULD HELP. BUT IT IS A SLEEPING BAG AND IT IS MADE TO DO THE WORK IT DOES.

This sleeping bag is part of the military MSS that inco...rporates two layers of sleeping bags with an outer goretex bivy. This intermediate bag is warm enough for cool spring and fall camping, but can keep you warm in below freezing temps with the outer patrol bag. The zipper system is super smooth and the ripstop material is comfortable and dries quickly. The snaps that join the outer bag are sturdy and consistent. The bag is a good size for most body sizes and it can easily pack into a stuff sack smaller than the one that it typically uses. It’s not relatively light, but it won’t be the heaviest cold weather bag available. Definitely worth the cost and responsibility for care.

I can attest to the qu...alities of these sleeping bags. I have spent many nights in weather down to freezing and these sleeping bags will keep you warm, and with a bivy sack, dry as well. For an intermediate cold weather bag, they are fairly lightweight used as a stand alone system. The quality and warmth these bags provide far outweigh the extra pound of weight compared to your off the shelf commercial sleeping bags manufactured by Coleman and others. These used sleeping bags are military issue and manufactured to last for years in the harshest conditions. I recommend purchasing one of these bags at the same price as a new commercial sleeping bag rated for the same temperatures. Once you have used one of these sleeping bags, you will understand the differences for yourself. If you are planning to stay out in temperatures below 20 degrees F., I recommend getting the additional patrol sleeping bag and the bivy sack. These sleeping bags are warm, durable, washable, and if taken care of properly, will last for many, many, years.

This is a terrific sleeping bag, especially ...for this price. When combined wit the patrol bag, you have a dependable, highly durable sleeping system good down to temperatures below 0F. I am over 6 ft tall, but a side sleeper, so I fit comfortably into this bag, however I could see a tall person who sleeps on their back to find this bag a little short. This was one of the best pieces of gear that I was ever issued, and have found them hard to hold onto once you let a friend or family member borrow it, therefore I am always replacing it.
