3-PW, Titleist 690 CB irons. S300 DG stiff shaft.
These clubs are the most solid irons I have ever hit. I am a two handicap and have played most of the best irons made. These surpass everything I've ever had in my hands. The heads are compact but not too small. When hit well they go exactly where you're aimed. When not struck well the distance loss is minimal. The feel of a well hit shot is a surprisingly quiet, soft feeling in the hands. It is easy to hit the ball high or low, left or right. You can manipulate the ball with ease. My only regret in buying these is that I did not buy two sets because I will be unhappy when I wear these out and have to find a replacement for them. I might still look for a second set. Make sure whatever you buy is authentic, call the Titleist 800 number to check which they willingly do. DO NOT BUY FROM GolfClubs365.com. The clubs sold on this site are not authentic and are not made by the manufacturer whose name is on the clubs. Ask for the serial number before purchasing. On the 690 CB set the serial number is on the 6 iron only. It is a seven digit number. The clubs will nick and scratch easily which is a function of being a forged club. Protect with club covers or be careful as you play with them. This will not affect play. You'll just want them to stay in good shape as they look so good at address and in your bag. Wordy I know, but take it from a golfer who's been playing for 45 years. These are a wonderful set of clubs and you will be very happy you have them. If your handicap is over 18 you might want something else. Anything under and you will improve as a result of having these in your bag. Good luck and play well if you are fortunate enough to find a set. Read full review

Very good irons. They are sweet to hit
I really like these new irons. To me they are almost a blade but similiar to a muscle back iron. They are pretty easy to hit believe it or not, and when you catch them sweet they have good trajectory and ball flight. I liked these because they were an inch longer than standard irons and i am a tall man. Let me tell you these irons are sweet. I loved the lamkin grips in blue they really made the irons look even better. They also are good irons if you like to shape your shots. Someone who is a low B average golfer could probably hit these irons well. I would recommend them to anyone who is a pretty avid golfer.

Sturdy61 - 9 handicap
I've played many forged clubs in my time, from Cobra, Hogan, Wilson Staff, Mizuno. But it's been almost 20 years since I tried a Titleist. These 690's fit my game perfectly at this point in time. Solid as an oak and the feel is tremendous. A few years ago the Hogan felt like this to me, but not anymore. The DG shaft is a perfect fit with this club. If you're looking for a low to mid ball flight the DG is the way to go. A big difference between the CB and the MB. I just don't consistently practice enough to groove my swing for the MB. Confidence is the biggest factor for me, now, and I know I can trust the 690 CB even with mishits now and then.
