... Several of the others-- re-"mastered, not very "masterly." I listened to Dionne Warwick most of my youth--the quality of the Warwick CD -- on some tracks-- doesn't even sound like her. The sound is SO bad, I hope she listens, and sues the company which made her sound like an injured cat. In real life --she has a wonderful voice. Many of the re-mastered, imported CDs -- terrible. Wrecked Sarah Vaughn, Joe Cocker. -- not as good as the old disk I had --many of these-- if one were blind-folded wouldn't be able to identify the singer. The sound of this CD is great without the wobble. It didn't have "Hotel California" -- was a little disappointed, but lots of good stuff anyway--on this CD. ...

My all time favorite band, so as far as a greatest hits album goes, has always been my favorite. I'm 50 as of July, so I was 13 years old in 1978 when I started really getting into music. I remember sitting in my bedroom with my record player and it was The Eagles, Elton John, David Bowie's Changes One may actually be the best greatest hits album. Bob Seger, Night Moves is still maybe my all time favorite song, Fleetwood Mac's Rumours, Chicago's Greatest Hits; call it a 3 way tie for best of albums. I could go on and on. Heart, Boston, Meat Loaf; it's the same music I still listen to today. It was the best time in music history. Songs I've heard literally thousands of times I still crank the car stereo when they come on. Some of my all time favorites are still around; AC/DC, Metallica, but today's music may have a song here or there that I like. The sheer volume of incredible music from the late 60s to early 80s literally makes life better. Past the 90s era of Nirvana, Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, etc, there isn't any iconic music made anymore. Rock is on life support, bands like Maroon 5 and The Foo Fighters are good but even Dave Grohl came from Nirvana. 30 years is more then enough music for me to listen to for the rest of my life but I don't think there could ever be an era of that amount of time from say the mid 60s to the mid 90s with such amazing and legendary music consistently being made. I heard Jefferson Starship, Miracles, or was it Airplane back then, yesterday in the car on the satellite radio and listened to it twice. The feeling it still invokes 40 years later is hard to describe. Suffice to say it's sensational.Read full review

I play this CD LOUD while I'm working in my backyard. Years ago I had the vinyl and a stereo in the house and would open the windows and do the same thing! Now the CD player is outside so there ya go. I do live on 1/2 acre with a creek and a ballfield in my backyard. I'm retired and the neighbors on either side work, so I can listen to it and others while I fuss with my plants! This EAGLES album was great 20+ years ago and it's still GREAT!!
I purchased this cd, because I am a Karaoke singer and there are many great songs on this album. I am familiar with every song on this album. They are truly all great hits (no fillers) and I am anxious to review them and learn the words and music, so I can sing a few of them. This is an album, which takes the listener back to "the good old days" of rock and roll. Some of the music being played today is not appropriate and I miss rock and roll. Ebay is a great place to purchase items at bargain prices!
