This season was one of the best and should be considered a must have out of all the The Simpsons Seasons. Every episode was full of surprises and laughter, especially with the celebration of the 138th episode which shows some of the show's origins on the Tracey Ullman Show. Season 7 features a lot of great episodes including Part 2 of "Who Shot Mr. Burns," "Bart Sells His Soul," and "Two Bad Neighbors" where former President Bush moves into the neighborhood. Other episodes include "Homerpalooza" where Homer thanks guests The Smashing Pumpkins for their gloomy music because it has made his kids "stop wishing for a future I cant possibly provide," and "Bart the Fink" where Bart inadvertently gets Krusty the Klown busted for tax "avoision." Along with the 25 episodes, you also get extensive commentaries, featurettes, and deleted scenes all of which add a lot of value to the set and will give you die-hard fans another excuse to spend more hours in front of the TV.Read full review
I love The Simpsons. It is awesome on so many different levels. Anyone can enjoy this comedy about the nuclear family. It has so many levels and layers. Season 7 has also has the Summer of 4 Ft 2, which in my opinion is one of the best episodes. You will love. Once you start watching you just cannot stop it is so good. I went through it in two days and I have watched it several times since too. Season 7 is not one of my favorite season but it is still damn good. You should buy it and anything else The Simpsons put out because it is the bast series ever created.
At this point in the Simpson's history, the show was still at the top of its fame making social commentary, providing funny parodies of pop culture, and excellent guest stars; all thanks to the excellent writers. The collection comes in a nice slipcase, a vast improvement over the character's head cases that used to be the only version of this collection available. However the plastic fasteners that hold on to the discs are a bit flimsy. I purchased this as a gift for somebody and thus far they've enjoyed it greatly.
Here is another great season of The Simpsons in this one we finally get to know who shot Mr. Burns and in this season Homer goes 3D and from what I heard from some of the creators on the making of that part in Treehouse Of Horror VI is that the end is the only live action Simpsons shot. Probably the best Season of The Simpsons with "Bart sells his soul", The Halloween special with the "50 foot eyesores", and Homer in 3-d, all classics and worth every penny! Not to mention the fact that so much is cut out from the networks so they can add more commercial time, so many sequences have never been seen in syndiacation. The only problem with the whole set is that some of the discs are extremely difficult to remove, to the point that you almost break them. Other than that it is great and I am happy to have it.
