Went for an inexpensive used phone to introduce myself to smartphone use. This was perfect for me at the price and what it offers. Probably after a year of use, I will look for an upgrade, but in the meantime, very pleased with this model. Just used the T-Mobile sim card from my old phone to get started quickly. Using the WiFi a bit, but do not have internet service from T-Mobile.

An inexpensive place to start with a smartphone
I bought this used, as an inexpensive upgrade to my old Samsung basic flip-phone. I use a tablet for mobile internet connections so although the myTouch connects easily, it's too slow for any serious surfing, and without a firewall, is too insecure. Running the browser exhausts the battery in a few hours. In order to extend battery life, turning off the browser and most of the background apps lets it run for up to 3 days. I turn them on whenever I want to do a search or use an app, then revert to basic phone mode to retain the charge. That's been satisfactory for me. The GPS and map features are useful and while it's not a 4G phone, it provides a good base to experience smartphones without spending a large sum of money. The screen is bright, easy to read and the Android Forum provides a lot of useful tips in using it. As a phone, its ability to pick up a weak signal and provide excellent sound is much better than the Samsung phone I had. Read full review

Great smart phone for a smart user - save a few hundred dollars and buy me.
Older android phone, but very well made and easier to use than most. The slide out keyboard makes texting much more efficient and the touch screen is a snap to navigate. Sound quality is excellent even through my car's system when driving. Pictures are good enough, although not comparable to my camera, and videos are quick and easy to start and stop. I set this up on my plan in minutes, and had no trouble activating. This saved me a bundle. I even found a good protective case for this model. At this price, I can afford to buy a spare!

Awsome product, really nice choice. I'm very happy I bought it.
I bought this product because a friend of mine sold me on the idea that androids are great phones and I desperately needed a new cellphone, so it seemed like the right thing to do. This phone was within my budget and I don't really wanted a very fancy phone, so it seemed like the phone was made to be mine. Pros: Easy to use, even without a user guide I didn't have any problems accesing all the features and learning how to use it. The touch screen makes it easy to write messages faster. It's not too big nor too small for me. I can download all my apps with no problem whatsoever. It's a good looking phone. Cons: The life of the battery is very short. I have to charge it everyday, especially because I use it a lot, so I can't go one day without charging it. I takes to long to start. The alarm doesn't go off when the phone is turned off. Excellent value and features packed into a pocket-sized smartphone
This phone was a great effort on HTC's part to make an Android phone that was way ahead of it's game back when it was released. The scroll ball and size of touch screen make it very similar to Verizon's HTC Droid ERIS. It is a very easy to use, self-explanitory phone. For those needing more, it has a start-up tutorial to teach the user how to use all of its features. The phone itself is an excellent phone for anyone wanting a multimedia phone or an all-purpose smartphone. It definitely holds its value even still. Make sure you have an SD card, or else you cannot use the camera, music, or other various features. I give this phone 4/5 stars!
