  Reel easy to assemble, works great although it’s very light and I... have to weight down the ends with a large (50-60) dumbbell to keep them upright. During some very high winds the Velcro anchoring the cover to the reel pulled apart.

  "Stainless Steel" pool cover reel.

  In the description of the item there is n...o mention of the material construction of the tube. The description would infer that the unit was made of all SS and it is difficult to determine from the visual picture any other conclusion. Since the actual material is Aluminum tubing there is a omission as to the material content that is misleading and should be corrected. The instructions for the assembly seem to have been written from the content assembled out of a shredder! There is no accurate identification of parts nomenclature. Example of a part : a washer is defined as a gasket? There are no parts that are identified by part number or location. Some of the fastening pieces are poor fit/design for the use in the assembly and when connected do not work/function well. To complete the assembly of the reel I ordered different type/style of fasteners from McMaster Carr to correct the inaccurate and deficient items. The unit was not returned do to time frame requirements to meet operation deadlines for the pool. There could be some refinements that would make this item better and more user friendly in the assembly process.

  Good overall but instructions could have been better as far... as describing how to attach cover and fasteners...easy to roll once you get it started and the cover is evenly draped over the cylinder so you can roll it in. If it's very windy out the wind could lift up your cover and knock over the reel or worse yet cause it to fall into pool so I weighed down the cover on pool deck with a brick so wind could not blow it up. Can't beat the price

  It is outstanding for the money!

  As I stated, It is outstanding for the pric...e. The only detraction I have found, and it is a very small one in my opinion, is the self-stick Velcro that is attached to the reel tube and is used to hold the reel straps from the solar blanket are not that good. They all came loose within one week. I came up with a simple fix for it, and it didn't take long to correct. The entire assembly is a very well made and the design and stability is excellent. I recommend this product.

  Does the job well, overall a good item for the price. I h...ave two observations, issues if you will. One, the overall length in the setup instructions are not aligned with the hardware. The setup spacing needed to be cut by 30% to get the advertised width. Second improvement to updating the document or the parts, the roller tubes, three, are to thin aluminum. If stainless steel, would be rigid, or make thicker aluminum. I hope nobody sits on it by mistake, will totally collapse. Plus its hard to not sit on it with kids as its a wide item on the pool deck. But in the end for the price, I don't regret the choice, plus the competitors I am sure are all the same.
