Very loud & very clean sounding! I would especially recommend this,... or this series for mids & highs, especially when needing considerable power to them. Not many others make high power 4 channel amps & those who do, will cost alot more Now, the reality of this series is, that they do make less power than they are rated at. This has been proven on two amp dyno tests. The AR4.1800 coming the closest to listed ratings. Without getting too technical, but when these tests are typically done, they are done with a 1khz signal, thus getting the highest rating @ the least work. In multiple frequency tests, this series did very well in the mid & highs. Power outputs came closest to ratings, especially the AR4.1800. But when tested at 40hz, or lower frequencies, they fall short in power. Again the AR1.1800 & the AR4.1800 (mono & 4 Ch) doing the best in meeting rated power, & the 4 Ch doing even better. Regardless, they will still make decent power, & for excellent prices I would recommend these especially in 4 channel, & for mids & highs. If using for subwoofers, they will still make decent power, but consider buying the next model up, for a few more $$$. Or just go with the Soundstream Tarantula series which meet or exceed the rated power. For instance the T1.4000DL, did extremely well on the amp dyno, both meeting & exceeding power output. An amp can both meet & exceed ratings by various tests in various modes. I will give this amplifier an honest but solid 4 stars, & only not getting 5 stars because it does fall slightly short on rated power for subwoofer use. But this amp adequately powers my 6×9's & 6" coaxials, which are loud & clean. Side note, for maximum output of these & any amps is to properly ground them, using a volt/multi meter & with the engine running come as close as possible to grounding at 14.4 volts. This process can easily be Googled or U-tubed. It is imperative for maximum output & the life of the amp. Dont just ground it wherever, & whine that the amp is garbage or blew up, when many times it is at the fault of the installer.

Finally got it installed and WOW!! This amp sounds great, I h...ave it hooked up to power acoustics (rampage I think) 6.5 in components on front channel and have the rear hooked into a Pyle 8” sub (factory suburban location). The fronts are crystal clear at low and high volumes. The little 8” sub surprised me big time. And no I do not have the amp turned up all the way. I actually have turned it down twice since first calibration. I have not found any cons to this amp. I’ll update with pics and performance in the following month or so.

I bought this amp and had it installed, after one week the amp out o...f the blue just stop working. It would come on but produce no sound. Cost me 66.44 dollars to send it back, so this was a great loss for me. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone else.

Not the soundstream of the 90's , but not the pric...e either. Its great amp for the price, Have it running bunch of Hi's and a 10 inch sub, no problems at all. Pushes them all really well. My guess is its giving me a good 250 watts on the sub, and 250 watts on the high's. Realistically its more of a 500 watt amp, not an 1800. But for the price its a bargain no doubt.
