Worth the upgrade to most gamers even those without 4K screens
I think full price is a bit of a stretch for the worth of the PlayStation 4 Pro, but the price available here is worth it. The PlayStation 4 Pro works better in everyway compared to a normal PlayStation 4. The graphics are better in most popular games but in addition it loads faster as well. Some reviews complained about heavy 4K use causing the system to get very warm and while true , I'd say half to most of your gameplay the system will be more quite comparatively. Not every game will take full advantage of the PS4 Pro's potential but almost all games will use it in some way. A big deal is gameboost mode which has to be manually enabled in the settings menu will allow games to load faster and run at a smoother frame rate. Only supported games will get above 30fps but many games drop below 30 fps during normal gameplay the Pro will make those games run at 30 fps or significantly closer. I wasn't planning on using this with a 4K screen but I did end up buying one after purchase. The small resolution difference for some games is quite noticeable going from sub 1080p to 1080p and beyond. For those not using wired Ethernet for internet, the WiFi has been updated to current 5ghz standards. The PS4 Pro is not for everyone but in my opinion you'd have to really really not care about graphics to not find the upgrade cool. The design is weird from the front but better overall like the top and back of the system. There are easier to use buttons that aren't touch sensitive either.Read full review

Not so fast!
Physically in very good condition (including controller :) but was missing power cord, so I had rummage through my collection of old cords. PS4 has a variety of 2 and 3 prong connections (after some googling). I also had to install a firmware update to version 6. The system would not boot up. It was saying to install a version 4 update. I booted in safe mode and did a system update (not the full reinstall.) It took me good amount of googling and trial and error. The USB flash (thumb) drive also had to be formatted as EXFAT to be recognized by the PS4. 3 stars is a generous rating considering it took me about 2 hours to get it working.

Console works but sold with incompatible power cord, so not sure they understand what they're selling...
So it all works, and everything was sent as advertised which is great. However, the power cord they supplied initially wasn't compatible with the PS4 for some reason. I notified them and told me the cord should work, but I clarified that it definitely does not, so they sent me a replacement cord. It was a two prong cord but still the wrong type of cable. So everything works, I just had to buy a spare PS4 power cable from Amazon to make sure the console turned on in the first place.

A real pro
Very glad I bought the pro, runs intensive games buttery smooth. Usually a pc gamer, picked up the ps4 to play the exclusives and the pro crushes it every time I fire it up. Some games come with an option menu when firing them up using the pro asking if I want the system to prioritize frame rate, graphics or resolution. Very cool feature for the different types of gamers.
