This is a great reciever. Comes with a lot of audio features like an equalizer and the sound quality is great provided that you step up your standard Car speakers. The remote comes in handy every once in a while but for the majority of the time, you will end up using your hand to reach over and press the buttons. The bluetooth microphone is pretty good, but make sure that the windows are closed and you speak clearly. The screen isnt amazingly large for the amount of other good things it has. However, it is legible and great to look at.There isnt a feature to change the color of the screen and buttons, but it does have a fade option in case it just sticks out like a sore thumb for you. Overall, aside from a GPS screen radio, this is exactly what im looking for in a radio.
Bold high powered sound with bluetooth wireless technology....it's a must!!
Almost everyone has a cell phone with bluetooth which makes this receiver a necessity for all who love music. They have made advances in bluetooth technology so you no longer lose dynamics and massive sound quality like the old days. This receiver was easy to install and paired immediately with my Samsung Galaxy S2. The sound quality is great and with 52 RMS watts of power, makes this one of the better sounding head units right out of the box. I purchased the Sony refurbished unit. It came with a brand new wiring harness and remote. Along with wireless music, you can enjoy hands free calling with a mic built into the receiver. Being a top brand like Sony for only $75 it has made my car ride very enjoyable and hopefully for years to come...buy it now....you'll be pleased. Sincerely: A Satisfied CustomerRead full review
Works well, but not the polished radio it could have been.
Light is way too bright and does not dim with other dash lights, its annoying, blue tooth works great, cannot get time and radio stations or RDS on same screen display simultaneously, but it will display FM1, or FM2 etc in big letters. Off switch is tiny! and not illuminated, why? Also chirps when turn off the key to remind you to remove the faceplate, why? It seems the buttons and displays you want to see or be larger are small and the obscure ones are big. Overall it works well, but the ergonomics are not well thought out in my opinion. Phone works pretty well (reports of a tinny sound)at 40 mph, and garble at freeway speeds, but clear when parked. I both like it and am annoyed by the unit.
I dont hate it
Great price for this radio if the blue tooth actually worked well, no one can hear me on it they say when i use it it sounds like they are in an echo chamber. I, however, hear them great, the radio is very nice easy to use. it also cost me in excess of $150.00 to have it installed, that, however is my fault for not looking into this before I purchased it. A place down the road has a blue tooth jvc with install included for $99.00
Good quality at this price point.
Overall this is a very good receiver. Pros: -Sound quality is very good. -Features (bluetooth & EQ modes) are solid for this price range. -Bluetooth audio streaming from the Pandora app on my Android phone is flawless and works instantly every time. Cons: -Like a lot of detachable face receivers I've owned recently, I struggle removing it from the dashboard each time. It always feels like I'm going to break something. -No USB input.
