Still learning how to use this flash. It is pretty amazing, especially the fact that it can rotate 90 degrees to have a proper flash while taking portraits. Lots of options. My only gripe is that even though it fits on the hot shoe of my A77 and A350 it has a slight wobble to it, front to back only on where it mates to the camera. It's not terrible, and it doesn't feel like it will come off the camera but it is slightly annoying, almost like the tolerances are a little too small. I read other reviews that state the same problem, so it's a Sony manufacturing issue. Also heard there is an issue with the flash over heating if used fast for extended periods. Other than that, it seems really great.
I needed a replacement HVL-F43AM for my Sony A77. It's an older camera which a proprietary flash foot. I contacted Joymoto, told him my timeline and a price, we came to a deal with the caviat that I needed it before the upcoming Saturday, just four days from the purchase. I was sweating it and It was delivered on-time and worked perfectly. It was exactly delivered as advertised. Would gladly do business with Joymoto again.

This flash supports wireless and that's great, but for the price you can have a Godox transmitter and 2 flashes for on- or off-camera use. The flash is bright and reliable, if not always even. Bottom line: great flash, but get the Godox

The HVL F43AM is a work horse. The built quality is sturdy and feel very compact. There is one little draw back, I use a A77 DSLR, and with my camera the shoe mount tends to wobble a little (this has not presented a problem for me). The flash is powerful, the interface menu is easy and I have not had any excessive heating problem. Nice equipment!
Great Flash. I shopped around for a few months and finally decided on the 43AM. It was worth the effort to shop around. Perfect flash. Light enough, powerful, and fairly easy to learn to use. It has tons of functionality that I haven't even begun to explore yet. Highly recommend!!
