This book is very thought provoking and gives steps to go thru for personal growth. The bottom line is you have to do the exercises to gain real insights into your personal view of the world and how by your experiences how you arrived at these viewpoints. I think really understanding our past helps us to see why we think about present situations but the real work is in how we choose to try new ways of looking at situations. I would recommend this book but you have to be willing to change the way you think once you understand were your fellings came from.
I think dr phil is a very smart man, the book has the incite that i needed he made me think about my life and do something about it he makes take a test and you will see for your self that you can be who you want to be just by reading the book. I would reccomend this book to anyone who has issue problems about their life in gerneral, please read it will change your life
