Upscaling to 4k, built in wifi or hardwire, plays Region free 4K discs, Blu-ray, DVD and CD plus Smart features. Pretty much anything in your movie library. You get a lot of features for the price. Higher end players command twice the cost with the same features. I take this with me when I travel abroad because it runs on different voltages. Great buy

I really like the M9500 although at this point I'm only using it as a 4k ultra HD player. I don't have the internet hook up. I skipped that during the initial hook up. I'm sure when I do hook it up it will be great. The Samsun M9500 is easy to hookup and the player is as I expected. It is excellent picture quality and I like the onscreen set up menu. 4k DVDs load quickly and I'm hook up to a VISO sound bar which was a breeze to install. I 'm no wizard when it comes to hooking up multiple devices but this install went amazingly good. The price was also good ($297.00). I'd recommend this player to my friends.

It does what it promised. I popped a British DVD in and it played fine. Playing a British blu-ray requires an extra step (follow instructions enclosed) and it played fine, too. My American DVD's and blu-rays play fine, also. I expect it plays discs from other regions, but I don't own any others from there. I updated the Samsung software and that did not interfere with region-free features. Purchased from 220Bargains.

OK lets face it. 4K players are way overpriced. When I bought my first BD player 12 years ago I paid $250 for it. Now you can get one for about $40. The same is true with 4K. It's the latest and greatest so it's priced way up there. If you can wait, the prices will come down. I only got this one because I got an awesome price and I wanted one to go with my new 4K TV. It's a great easy to use machine. Set up is quick and simple and comes with a lot of built in thingys for streaming and downloading and all that rot it your into that. But my TV and new Audio Video Amp comes with all that stuff too so it's kind of redundant. And lets face it. 4K is little more then a gimmick. I can play a regular BD disk, or a 4K disk and can tell no difference in picture quality. Yes, the DVD player, Amp, and TV all contain upscalers to supposedly improve quality but who knows. I think the biggest improvement over the older stuff is the HDR capability. The colors really pop. So to wrap it up if your hell bent to get a 4K DVD player to match your new 4K TV you can't go wrong with this Samsung if you can get it for as cheap as I did. $139. Read full review
