I'm a professional musician, and I've played a lot of amps, I use a Kemper live, and I've played shows all over the world with countless badass guitarists and musicians alike, and I've spent years learning about tone and what works best for certain types of music. When I'm home and want a good little amp on my end table next to my couch I look no further than this Roland cube. This is a newer version but for a practice amp as small as it is, and only having a gain and high end know for EQ this thing needs no OD or anything. The tone I get from this bad boy has bite, calrity, crunch and enough gain to pinch harmonic forever. I play death metal and I love the metal tone this thing has, but, it can do clean with the best of them, and the effects are a lot of fun and well rounded. There's also a nice blues crunch setting and a good rock setting. If it got loud enough I'd try to profile it for my Kemper. Definitely 100% worth $150.Read full review

Its sound belies its small size, Really packs a punch, is surprisingly loud and has a wide range of believable sounds/famous amp emulations. The price is a little higher than some more popular offerings, even from this company, but the sound is more versatile if you need a really good clean sound for pop or jazz type tunes, up to blues or middle of the road rock. If you want a little practice amp for high power rock or metal, I would not say this would be my top choice, but for the rest of the musical spectrum, this is superior to its competition.

Works perfect for me, not a working guitar player, but great around the house. Plenty of volume and clarity.Lots of features I am still exploring!.

The Roland M-Cube portable guitar amp has proven itself to be one of the best micro battery powered amps on the market. They're durable, have a boatload of tones and effects, a built-in tuner and batteries last a surprising amount of time. I have owned one for years and just bought a new one for my son. I definitely recommend.

Was not sure how this would compare to a Pignose? It blows it away! Figured it would never match up to the two Line 6 amps my son has but would be good for practice. He says it sounds better than either of them! I have to admit, it does! It gets pretty loud too. It is small lightweight and battery operated - but has awesome sound! The included effects and amp modeling is outrageous! Roland has done it again!
