The main "high point" of the Rogue RA-100D is the PRICE. You get a decent dreadnought guitar for the money, one you won't be afraid to take camping or anywhere outdoors, or just to use as an all-purpose "beater" for practice, jamming with buddies, or whatever. The guitar is actually pretty nicely made, with a slick hi-gloss finish, available in black, sunburst, or natural (I got the natural). A laminate (plywood) spruce top joined to a mahogany-finish back and sides with a nato neck make it solid enough to last many years. It has sealed tuners which work well enough, however you would be well advised to replace them with a set of Grovers or Wilkinsons (available on eBay). The tone of these acoustics is amazing, considering the materials used in their construction, quite rich and articulate, best suited for strumming or flatpicking. Your new RA-100D WILL need a set-up, as few are playable as they come out of the box. Any good music store where guitars are sold should have someone who can get the neck and string height zeroed in for you, for a few bucks. All in all, you can't go wrong with the Rogue RA-100D, just don't get your expectations too high. I give it 4 stars mainly for the price-to-quality ratio, which is pretty good.Read full review
What a little bombshell. I thought this can not be true! Sturdy , great action, great build and sound, tough, and freaking cheap at that. This worth every penny. What the heck!!!! I am only repeating what all those before me have said. This is a hidden gem and you will not be disappointed at all. Not afraid to bang it or transport it from home to the camp fire or friends gig night. It is tough tough. Great job to the design team for finding a true winner. Lui NC

Nice for the price. Has good action, but I did change the strings to DR for a warmer tone and replaced the nut and bridge with bone. I do play it every day. Been using this in place of my les paul. If you get buzz just raise the action. When my tuner drops a cent then that's all I adjust the truss rod. that gives more curvature to the neck. that was due to the string change and a little buzz on the first string second fret. Other than that I would recommend this guitar.
